Pregnancy

FitMama Pregnancy Fitness and Birth Prep classes have every stage of pregnancy covered.  You can start as early as 12 weeks pregnant, and continue until your baby is born.   

 

The class format is 45 minutes long and includes an 18 min circuit including safe exercises to stabilise your changing pelvis, increase your birthing fitness.  Then we get down on the mat and use clever techniques to ease pregnancy aches and pains, and help your baby get into the optimal position for birth. The sooner you begin all this work, the better for you and your baby.  However, it's never too late to start.

 

These classes come with a WhatsApp group giving you direct and unlimited access to your pregnancy coach and course doula, Marie, aswell as support videos to help you at home, and a place to make mum friends for life.

 

 If group classes are not your style, Marie also offers private one to one sessions.

Postnatal part one:

It is essential to ease back into exercise safely so you don't cause yourself permanent injury to the delicate postnatal body.  The full 12 week journey is divided into two six week courses to help you budget and plan.

Part one: FitMama Mummy's Tummy Time, is a gentle course

designed to repair the damage done to your lower back,  core and pelvic floor after childbirth.  During part one, we assess abdominal separation and pelvic weakness, gently rehabilitate any discovered damage, slowly building up each week until by week six you are participating in more active safe postnatal exercise and are ready to sign up for part two.

Your coach, Marie specialises in abdominal separation, pelvic organ prolapse and bladder weakness.

Suitable from as soon as you are driving.

 

Babies are most welcome in these courses, but you're also welcome to come alone for some you time. Your choice.

Postnatal part two:

Once you have completed the six week FitMama Mummy's Tummy Time course, or you are 6 months postnatal, you are safe to embark on FitMama Postnatal Fitness classes. Childcare is not a problem as babies can sit safely in buggies, older children can sit in our safe space with snacks and devices, and get a sticker at the end!

FitMama Mum's Circuit Training is a twice weekly HiiT timed session which builds up your strength and fitness levels in this super safe postnatal circuit.  A 20-25 minute session in which we will do at least 4 rounds, and if babies are being accommodating, some weeks we will do 5 rounds!  Perfect timing to train you without exhaustion, and for your baby to cope with the wait.

More advanced options are available once you have progressed in these classes, within  the FitMama parent company, Studio 41 Fitness Ltd

Perimenopause and beyond

The changes of midlife can be so frustrating and confusing.  Join Marie in these Perimenopause workshops to learn what's happening to your body, how to eat, what supplements to take, how to exercise and how to balance your hormones.  This two hour workshop includes a presentation, exercise and meditation.  Light hearted and fun sessions designed to make you feel much better about the journey.

Marie also works one to one with women to guide them safely with exercise and nutrition in order to manage the symptoms of midlife changes, manage weight, manage mental health, and make the journey clearer for you.
